Mental Performance Consulting
“You already know how to play. This is about who you are and how you think when you do.”
The gap between your ability and your performance isn't physical. It's the story you're telling yourself — under pressure, after failure, in the moments that matter most.
— Work With Me
Where Do You Need The Work?
Every athlete's situation is different. The conversation we have first is how we figure out what the work actually looks like for you.
**This first conversation is NOT a mental performance session.
For Individuals
Private mental performance coaching for athletes who are ready to train their mental and spiritual game just like they train every other part of their game. Whether that looks like work on identity, confidence, focus, routines, handling pressure, or many other psychological skills, this will be tailored to you.
Sessions are remote or in-person if location allows. We always start with a free call to understand your situation and figure out if this is the right fit. Structure and commitment level is built around you from there. This call will be where prices are discussed.
For Teams & Organizations
Available for youth or high school programs, travel organizations, and collegiate teams. By drawing on my testimony and professional experience, I work directly with coaches and athletic staff to facilitate dialogue regarding team culture, identity, pressure management, and collective mental performance.
This isn't a one-size-fits-all workshop. It's built around your team's specific situation, your season, and where your athletes are mentally. Reach out through the contact form and we'll talk through what makes sense for your team. This call will be where prices are discussed.
— What To Expect
How The Work Unfolds
The first conversation is just that — a conversation. Everything else builds from there.
01 You Reach Out
Not every athlete has the courage to seek out the help they need to improve their mindset. The first step is filling out that contact form. I will follow up with an email and a link to schedule our first call together.
02 We Talk
The free call isn't a sales pitch. It's a just a conversation, with no commitment necessary. I listen, ask questions, and try to understand your situation, your sport, and what you're actually dealing with. If this isn't the right fit, I'll tell you that too. We talk through what working together would look like, pricing, cadence, etc. and then review the working agreement.
03 You Answer Questions
Following the signing of our working agreement and receiving payment, I will send the athlete an intake form prior to our first session. This helps me gain objective data and formulate a better vision for the structure of our sessions going forward.
04 We Get To Work
Sessions will typically be 45-60 minutes of remote or in person mental performance coaching. Session one is more introductory and exploratory, but the athlete will leave with some actionable concepts and tools to think about and implement during that first week. The real work happens between our sessions. Athletes are strongly encouraged to journal and reflect on their progress and insights and come ready to engage in our next session.
From Athletes and Families
“I used to struggle with consistency, confidence, and handling pressure in big moments. Through my work with JJ, I learned how to stay locked in, control my mindset, and trust my preparation no matter the situation. The tools and strategies I gained didn’t just help me perform better on the field, they changed how I approach challenges in life.”
— NCAA Baseball Athlete
“Coach JJ has a special gift in instruction and coaching. Beyond coaching technicalities, he commands the attention and respect of our son. He uses many tools to motivate and teach, and all the while our player has grown mentally in his game and practice approach, his confidence on and off the field, and meaningful off-field personal adjustments. We know Coach JJ is the catalyst in our son’s improvements and large factor in our athlete’s successes.”
— Parents of Youth Athlete
“At a time where I struggled with comparison and overthinking, he helped me recenter myself and understand how much more there is than just my performance. I learned that process is everything.”
